Comics in the Middle of Nowhere 2026: Another Unforgettable Edition

On Sunday, June 14, comic collectors, creators and comic lovers gathered once again for Comics in the Middle of Nowhere 2026. Surrounded by nature, thousands of comics and fellow enthusiasts, the festival once again proved that comics are all about community.

Despite the weather not always cooperating, the atmosphere never changed. Smiles, great conversations and the excitement of finding that one missing comic could be found everywhere throughout the festival grounds.

A Day Full of Highlights

This year's edition welcomed more than 200 visitors and 35 Comics from the Trunk sellers, creating one of the biggest editions of Comics in the Middle of Nowhere so far.

Visitors spent the day searching through thousands of comics, discovering hidden gems and expanding their collections while enjoying a relaxed outdoor atmosphere unlike any traditional convention.

The Artist Clubhouse brought together talented national and international comic artists, writers and creators who shared their work, signed comics and spent time talking with fans throughout the day.

One of this year's new attractions was our Original Comic Artwork Museum, where visitors could admire original comic pages and artwork up close. A huge thank you to Peter for curating this incredible exhibition and sharing his passion for original comic art with everyone who visited.

Meanwhile, live music created the perfect soundtrack as visitors explored the festival, watched interviews, joined live auctions and simply enjoyed spending the day with fellow comic fans.

The Comic Community at Its Best

One of the best parts of Comics in the Middle of Nowhere has always been its community.

Collectors helped each other complete runs, sellers shared stories behind special books and new friendships were formed over a shared passion for comics. Whether someone arrived looking for a grail issue or simply wanted to enjoy the atmosphere, everyone was welcomed with the same enthusiasm.

Even the occasional rain shower couldn't dampen the mood. Visitors stayed, kept browsing longboxes and made the most of every moment together.

Thank You

Events like Comics in the Middle of Nowhere are only possible because of the incredible people behind them.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, especially Frank, Hendrie, Roy, Peter, Daan and Renate. Your dedication, enthusiasm and hard work before, during and after the festival made this event possible.

Thank you as well to every visitor, Comics from the Trunk seller, artist, exhibitor, musician and partner who helped make this edition such a success. Together, you once again showed what makes the comic community so unique.

See You Next Time

Every edition of Comics in the Middle of Nowhere reminds us why we started this festival in the first place: to create a relaxed place where collectors, creators and comic fans can meet, discover new comics and enjoy the hobby together.

We're already looking forward to the next edition and can't wait to welcome you back for another day filled with comics, community and unforgettable discoveries.
